I'm finally giving up time blocking. It just doesn't work for me. I'm accepting that now. Some things will still be in the calendar but the regular schedule will be off of it.
I have found using energy-based system is much more effective.
3 energy for big task, can only exist per day
2 energy for medium task
1 energy for small tasks, like maintenance
0 / +1 energy for things that gives energy
You don't assign when, you assign what should exist for the day
Never chain two 3-energy days
Ask yourself: "Do I want this to be a 3-day, a 2-day, or a recovery day?"
Things I realized while doing this
